Firefighters, police and emergency personnel devote their lives to serving their communities, and they are prepared to pay the ultimate price in the line of duty. The Alabama State Bar's Wills for Heroes project allows the legal community to show its appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices of these brave men and women. Through Wills for Heroes, attorneys provide first responders free basic estate planning services (will, advance healthcare directive, power of attorney). This service is intended to give first responders peace of mind by knowing that their affairs are “in order” should the unthinkable occur.

Wills for Heroes is managed by the Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program and the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program.
